Mother's Day

Roses for Mom

Materials: 


  • Betty Crocker® Milk Chocolate cake mix 
  • 12oz Milk 
  • 1/3 cup Vegetable Oil
  • food color
  • Frostin' Pride ready to whip icing and filling
  • baking cups
  • electric hand mixer
  • Wilton® tip 1M 

  • Procedure:

    Step 1: Step 1: Pour the cake mix, milk and oil into a mixer and using the paddle attachement, mix for 5-7 min at a medium-high speed. Let it set for 5 min and mix again for 2 min.

         

    Step 2: Line a cupcake tray with baking cups and using an ice-cream scoop, pour a scoop of batter into each cup. Bake at 350 ̊ F for 20-25min (some ovens may take more or less time).

     

    Step 3: While the cupcakes are baking, mix your icing. Follow the directions on the Frostin' Pride package to whip your frosting together using your hand mixer.

       

    Step 4: After your cupcakes are out of the oven and cooled for atleast 30 min, scoop the frosting into a pastry bag and using tip 1M, create a large swirl on your cupcake starting from the center. (The trick is to keep your tip vertical the entire time and let the frosting overlap as it swirls. )

       

    Step 5:  Place them on a cute card or serve them to mom or anyone special and of course, enjoy!
