Pies are great for a family feast, but so much work to make! These mini pie cupcakes are a great way to fool your friends and family and very simple to make.

Whipped Icing

This is my go to for icing cakes and cupcakes because it's so fluffy, easy to use, and also not very sweet. Unlike buttercream, however, you can't do a crumb coat because it won't harden. So it's important that you use clean spatulas and that you clean it every time you lift it off the cake.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Pride and Prejudice is a beautiful story that takes place in early nineteenth century England and follows a middle class family: the Bennets. This novel opens with a scene describing Mrs.Bennet's utmost desire for one of her daughters to marry the handsome man that has come to visit their town. From then onwards, the book is a massive swirl of family loyalty, courtships and proposals. Elizabeth, the main character, we soon learn is a strong willed character, ready to stick up for those that matter to her, and quick to show her disdain for those who don't.
